Yesterday, for some meeting, I suddenly required to write down something. Now I haven't written much since my college days. So I was shocked to realize that my fingers won't bend or move the way I wanted them to. I felt so bad.
In my school days, we used to have handwriting competitions which I had won once or twice. I spent my college time literally in pain because of making so many notes. I also used the Indian Postal Service quite often with handwritten letters to my mom after marriage.
And then, I was introduced to technology...
I find it disheartening to see that now people use text messages or Facebook to tell each other what they feel (or don't). I have fights over Skype chats now. And yesterday, suddenly all those memories of a beautiful handwriting came back...
I know most of you will not understand and will think "This person is a nutjob". But last night, when my son handed me a note with his ridiculous handwriting, saying "Mom, I love you. You are the best..", I knew handwriting will not die. That handwritten notes to whomsoever will make them notice you more than just a text message or an FB post.
So take your books out and write!!
