When I was a child i would dance gleefully thinking of Independence day. The stories of our grandparents' struggle would come to my ears as the deeds of heroes and I would be twice happy to celebrate. It was not only the cake and a chopine of fizzy drink that would tempt me. But it was all the relief of being in a freed country. With time, however up to date, I do not feel we were ever really freed for there has been another 'mechant' always there to replace the preceding one...fighting for that privileged place left by the other. And this has gone on just like those cancerous lumps emerging one after the other inside your body...
