Well, I heard this term for the first time today.
Someone complained Wb celebrates it's celebs.
But it ain't true!
As far as I know, there are only two types of writers out here.
Consistent ones and not-so-consistent ones.
Consistent ones persist..
while the others give up!
That's the difference.
Consistent writers begin slowly, picking up speed gradually like a train...
often pausing to drink in comments coming their way...
both good and bad..
pretty much like a passenger train stopping at every station to pick up all types of folk.
Can you imagine the train not moving forward, simply because someone threw eggs at it..or some nasty fellow/gal passed lewd comments at it?
I began a year ago, there were days when NONE polled me...it was awful!
At times only two or three polled.
If I got five, I would be on cloud nine!
Some polled me hummms, speechless used to be rare.
A few negative anon comments.. there were times I used to join in the war of words.
(Now I'm more sensible!)
Sometimes I wanted to give up.
But my love for writing kept me going.
So dear disheartened writer...
do keep writing..
you are like the train.
Move forward..
if none gets in,fine..
if none alights,fine.
Keep your spirits high.
One day you will reap rich dividends.
Keep writing..
your best is YET to come!
