Long did stare time on me,
Oh,what a joy it got.
Repugnant and resilient,
Wondering I was a dead duck.
Filling the voids of space,
My laughter now had a grave.
Hideous and skin of intent,
My voice had a smirk not meant.
The carefree days of yore,
Dissolved into abyss of thin air.
All the little bruises of work,
Now meant nothing within a suit.
Long did stare time on me,
Upon what I had become.
Through the captive lens' eyes,
A hollow caricature of darkness.
The wish of a talk with others,
Now remains hanging on wire.
The fence killing my remorse,
Aptly in the limelight of known.
Long did stare time on me,
I lamented my soul's demise.
Restricted and confined to thorn,
The hidden scars made me worried.
I hung my face and walked,
To the memories and words.
Striking the rich haul of flying,
In my young days of pebble and star.
