Enid (laughing) : And...you..remember...the day I...fell upon.....his birthday cake...and..we..
Zeba : Stop laughing in installments, please. You're making me laugh!
Enid : Dear, if I don't take pauses while laughing, it will seem like a chemical reaction taking place between Enid's words and her laughter and the product will be an alien language even I can't understand. Plus, it's become a habit now,so even laughter is paid in EMIs!
(There is a sudden seriousness in the atmosphere)
Zeba : Man, I don't understand why people are so dependent on money. Money can change a person completely; it can transform a good person into a bad one and a bad one into a worse one. It's the most dangerous of all drugs.
Enid : Yet, it has become a necessity of life. It was so good when we were kids. We were unaware of all troubles. We didn't know what bad was.
Zeba : Actually I was thinking, you haven't changed much since the time we first met.
Enid : And so have you.
Zeba : A little five year-old with a beautiful brown eyes, a round, fair face having a pointed nose, short-statured but lovely and cute little Enid. The only difference is you were five then and twenty-five now.
Enid : I have got a nebulous image of you in your childhood but I can still say you were the stubborn, self-confident and straight-forward character in the entire Grade-1 lot.Not much of a change.
You had short hair and that dark face always hid the best friend inside you.
Zeba (nostalgically) : Only a best friend could see the best friend in me.
Enid : Of course, you need to have a vision like me.
Zeba : Oh really!
(And they started laughing like five year-olds)
Enid : You were my only true friend, you still are and you will always be.
Zeba : You made me what I am today. You are a part of me and will always be.
Enid (reacting to the sound of a door bell) : Let me see who has come... Zeba, it's the landlord.
Zeba ( in a whisper) : Those days won't come back!
