...I was just reading a scene from the book 'THE SECRET OF THE NAGAS' where a Naga confronts Sati and tells her that the Nagas were not supposed to be punished by the laws which were made several years ago....then people would have not known what the Nagas went through all that humiliation for just having deformed body parts...and it is not their mistake if they were born like that....
Suddenly this popped a thought.....interpreting what the Naga said.It meant what the ancestors thought to be right wasn't right at least for the Nagas....It means the definition of right and wrong differs for each and everyone of us.....
All judge RIGHT and WRONG on the basis of their thinking, knowledge, principles and most importantly circumstances......what might be right for me maybe wrong for you......Let me explain with an example, a widowed woman wants to remarry....the son thinks it is wrong as she is not honoring his late father but the daughter thinks it is right because everyone has the right to be happy and if this brings joy to her mother than why not??????....
RIGHT and WRONG are also based on priorities...........and virtues and duty and norms....
Let me example this too, now in India, in the olden days inter caste marriages or say educating a girl child was wrong and they had their reasons for it......eventually as time passed, thinking changed and the perspective too....and now these things aren't considered wrong.
The point of this post is that...never follow or agree something just because it has been right since years instead think and reason it out.....because you never know what stands right for many might turn out to be wrong for you.......

So if one feels like raping, he should listen to "voice-of-heart"?
Quran is the word of God.
That's YOUR choice, but how does one decide to include or not, raping, in his conscience? HOW?
Not every, not some of them. And those too have been corrupted by people. Only Quran is the verbatim, uncorrupted word of the God.
Whose position, the one who raped or the one who got raped?
Why ethics, why nott greed? How does one decide what to follow? Afterall there are people who steal just because they want more and more and feel happy too. :)
@"...the situation in which u r helpless.."
There are lots of corrupt, rich, greedy and powerful people who steal, they are in no way helpless.
Coming back to the question, how would a man decide if to empathise with the shop keeper or to follow his own greed while shoplifting?
So, what if I do not care about the distinction and live life "listening to my heart"?
We could have very well lived according to our desires had their been no accountability. But we are indeed accountable. We will be woken up to life after we are dead, for judgement. Our record is there with the almighty while we are carrying ourselves through this life. So, if we do not lead this life as God wants us, we will be thrown into hell..TILL ETERNITY.
And how does one decide what to exclude from his conscience or to include in it? Quran tells it.
Does conscience tell, if one should drink or not? Many people drink, just because this is conscientious for them! So how does one know what to include in his/her conscience?
Every other religion or book is just introduced to confuse the mankind. They have been tossed so that man can excuse himself by asking "Which one do I follow now?" And hence, make his "Conscience"/"Desire"/"Heart's voice", his religion!
The truth is however, Islam is the ONLY religion acceptable in the sight of Almighty God.
"If anyone seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him: he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter"~~Quran [3:85]
God created all of us, and he will do so again after death to bring us to account about what we did here, on earth. But can God be so unjust to bring us to account without informing us abaout the good and the bad?
Never, God is never unjust. Hence, he has given us the book of moral axioms; the Quran. Guys, I urge you to please reead Quran. It's an existential necessity. It explains what's the puropse of our stay on earth. Where we go after death. What happens to us after death. And most important, what is 'right' and 'wrong'.
Quran is the God's word. The one who created the universe and everything in it.
