It was spring
I was green
I had zest in me
To start a new life
Being pinned on you
For the rest of my days
There were flowers
Vibrant colours
Who enhanced my existence
When the sun shone upon me
I descended with glory
I laughed
When I felt the winds
But I stayed
Held upon you
With tears
Trying to hold on
Not to fall down
Then there came the summers
Punishing sun
I faced it
Protected you against it
When the birds rested upon you
And served me with
Lilting melody
I relish those days
And when the monsoon came
The pearled strings
Embellished me
When one of the pieces
Landed on me
You enhanced my glory
Then came my twilight days
I turned pale
The colour faded out
My strength all drained
On you, to protect
Against the scorching heat
Cascade of water
The bracing winds
And you let me go
Let me fall down
We parted
You didn’t look at me fall
I was honest
With my service
And you left me
Just like that
I floated on the air
And rested upon the ground
Then the winter’s came
And you were cold
I was lying there
Where you let me fall
And you looked at me
And wished
If only I could be back
You missed me
But I was gone
To be back
Another spring
