She ran through the entire platform to escape the thing behind her, she wanted to be safe, to go back to her home. She was running, running as fast as she could, running for her life. She was sweating, heavily and her legs were hurt from running now. Dressed in formals, she was wearing a shirt, trousers, and blazer and had long curly hair running down her waist. As she was running, she was drenched in sweat and fear in her beautiful brown eyes. The platform seemed to run for ever and not end. She came down the stairs and found nobody; there wasn’t a single security guard at the metro station, no announcements being made. She screamed for help, she called out her God’s name, but even he couldn’t come down to save her. She looked back and saw nothing. She kept running inside the station. She wondered what’s wrong and why wasn’t anyone at the station? She couldn’t have exited the station. She had left her bag in the train. There was fear on her face, her heart raced so fast that it could stop anytime soon, her blood pressure shoot up, her brain so stressed, it could explode anytime and her soul, it was just begging to go back home and see her mother.
Her office had gotten over just now, it was really late and she had quite a lot distance to travel. She chose the metro, thinking it would be safe and fast. From Gurgaon, she took a metro to Rithala, the other end of the city. It was 9:30 and she expected an hour and a half for the journey. She took the cab from office to the metro station and boarded the metro. She was in the general coach and after a few minutes she started listening songs, standing. She happened to notice a couple of guys looking at her, at first she ignored but they continued. She became conscious and was constantly looking if they were still staring at her; and, they were. As the crowd happened to de-board, there were less people after an hour. The two guys came to her coach and sat in front of her, now directly looking at her. She felt more uncomfortable and sat with her head down but she was alert. She decided to de-board at the next station, thinking she’ll take the next metro, only to get rid of the two. Unfortunately, she didn’t notice the station name and she wasn’t even aware of the settings of the station. Yet, she did come out of the metro. And to her surprise, the two guys did too. There was no one to be seen on the entire station. She started to move away from them, they followed her. She started walking a little fast, so did they! Ultimately, she had to run and they started chasing her. She turned back they were still there, running behind her, talking to each other in some native language. As she went down the stairs, she couldn’t find them, and as she was running towards the exit point, one of the goons held her from the back, the other one appeared in front of her, he shouted, “kahaan bhaag rahi hai saali?” (Where are you running to?), and he held her mouth with his one hand, and slapped her. The other one still holding her hands at the back, pushed her to the floor, they both again started talking to each other, she lie there on the floor, rubbing her head with one hand and trying to get up. “kahan jaayegi humse bhaag ke? (Where will you go running away from us?). one of them held her hand and dragged her to the inside of the cabin, when she bit his hand and stood up within a second. She grabbed a barrier, it was heavy but she had to escape from there. She smashed it on his head. While the second one came, he again threw her on the floor, held her hands and started to unbutton her shirt, she still had the barrier in her hand, she smashed it on his head too and stood up. She ran and ran, looking out for a way on the unknown station. The first guy came to senses and stood up. She ran, he followed, slowly.
She finally saw a person going upstairs, she asked for help, he didn’t respond. She asked for the way to the platform, he pointed up. She climbed the stairs and saw the metro on the platform with the doors open, she quicly ran inside. Soon, she saw the first guy coming towards her. Call it God’s miracle or her good luck that the doors closed instantaneously. She broke down and was relieved to see some people on the metro. She sat down on the floor itself and started to cry, thinking of what could have happened to her!
