It was an exhausting day...but I had made my resolution to
go and buy second- hand books!!!.......I know it sounds silly but it was an excuse for escaping my mundane routine and that is .......home to college.....college to home.....home to college......college to home......and repeat
So I dragged two of my friends with me....but hey, do I know the way???.......and I mentally smacked my head .....the only direction what I had was......opposite Flora Fountain you will find whole lot of books..and that was enough to make drool and forget about further directions.......so I switched to my hopefully 'smart'phone for help.....and clicked on google maps......but half the time I was busy finding my current location so as to find my way to that Freaking Flora Fountain....
After that we went back to the traditional I-don't-know-my-way-to-here-can-you-help-me.......and guess people were like 'yeah we know Flora Fountain, walk straight'....'keep walking straight'...'just 5 minutes of straight walking".........
F-I-V-E M-I-N-U-T-E-S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............Hell!!....we have been walking past twenty minutes and where the hell is this stupid Flora Fountain????????....I am gonna kill someone!!!!!!!!!!!
Drenched in sweat......tanned by the scorching heat.......and my heavy bag seemed in no mood to lighten up itself....We walked and walked and walked and walked....and not to mention 'we walked straight'....
Now I literally thought if we continued like this we might end up in Goa by the end of the day........but I guess God finally pitied us because we arrived at Flora Fountain....and guess my mental list of books to be bought was just wiped off...I stood there blank taking in the stacks of books....while my one friend was playing with her phone...and the other was seeing the 'erotic' section and smiling and telling me," How can people give these for second hand?"..and I am like " yeah you would keep them in a safe locker.".......
So finally blankly searching for random books and being out of money I took with me the greatest classic......."Pride and Prejudice".....I have not read romantic classics till date so I guess this was it......
After paying the bookseller we started our journey back to station on foot....I was totally and totally exhausted and was walking like a zombie.........when I saw it--------- I mean him..........my eyes nearly popped out.......6'4...in tracks...who the hell wears tracks in afternoon??......drenching with sweat.....fair.....tall...well-built.....handsome......tall.....copper hair.....and did I mention he was tall????
He was walking in our direction and I was shamelessly ogling him...because I knew he will just pass by and then I can brag it to my friends saying I-SAW-A-HOTTIE!!!.......so that was it....and suddenly he stopped in front of me and my friends and asked in GOD KNOWS WHAT ACCENT....wait I thought he is an Indian....who cares???......he looks amazing.......okay back to what he asked," Do you know where is --------university??".............Guess I missed the main part of the question.... Firstly I didn't understand what he asked and secondly if I did.....I probably didn't have any idea about any university nearby.....
It took at least 10 seconds.. for us to process what he said and come to the conclusion "Dude, we have no idea"....I wish I could have pulled it off with more confidence but I could come only with," I.....I....mean we don't....know."
My other friend was still gaping at him and the other one was busy with her phone like before.......someone from behind told him the directions and off he went with his other-good-looking-friends....my friend and I exchanged looks that said HE-WAS-HOT!!!!!!!..... and smiled like fools!!!!......and after that my friend actually repeated this whole event like 50 times to me till we reached the station.....okay now I totally forgot his face...I wish I could say to her...but she'll be upset so I didn't........
I told her next time if she might meet someone like him...and if he asks you the way...just say."yes for sure....I know the way and I will take you there!!' ...so that you get to spend some time with them......I shouldn't have said that because she took it seriously for a minute...........and what now....I surmise....I might see her from now on near that Flora Fountain way everyday....guiding people*
