This happened in Mumbai some years ago. A lovely young girl boarded a bus one day. It was crowded.

People got off at different stops. Finally she was left all alone on the bus. She still had time to get off at her destination.

Suddenly, as if on cue, the bus conductor and another guy, the only other ones on the bus, besides the driver, approached her. They sat on either side of her.

She got alarmed. But just for a minute. She didn't run. She didn't shout. She never even asked them, 'Why?'

She simply sat, calling on His name. For she trusted Him implicitly.

The rogues thought she was easy meat.
They could do what they wanted. None would see.

One of them touched her.
"Aare baapre," he screamed.
He touched her again. Again the same reaction. It was as though an electric current was passing through her entire body.
And it utterly, literally shook him as he attempted to molest her.

"Ise chod do, ye to danger lagti hai," he told his partner-to-be in crime. They both got up from the seat and went back to their respective seats.
They would think twice now before troubling her again.

The girl, meanwhile, sat still. Serene and peaceful.
She knew her Bodyguard. He would never let her down. Though invisible to her and them, he sure did a good job then.

I heard this true story from a guy who knew her well.
It truly stumped me.

The best protection we women can ever have.
Not a pepper spray, not an umbrella.
Forget the chilli powder. Or the kick into his groin.

They are handy tools no doubt.
But the best one is truly, truly His name.
