The Experiment

A group of scientists conducted an unprecedented experiment in the walls of one of the academic institutions. One of the scientists who put forward the theory that the average person, losing all feeling, will find access to God. He believed that the five human senses are blocking the feeling of the universe and that without them, people could establish contact with God. The only consented to the experiments, was an elderly man. As he stated: "I have nothing to lose." To achieve the desired result, researchers conducted a complex operation, separating his brain from all the nerve endings though the guinea pig retained the ability to move freely, he lost the ability to see, hear, feel, smell and pain. Devoid of sense and contact with the outside world, he was left alone with his thoughts and feelings. Scientists closely monitored his condition, and he expressed himself only in slurred staccato phrases that even he didn't heard.

4 days later, the man said that he began to hear the hissing unintelligible voice. Scientists attribute it to the mental disorders and have not given this as a special treatment. After two days, the man told the scientists that he talked with the deceased wife, moreover, he could answer her. Scientists were interested and finally believed him after he began to list the names of his deceased relatives. He voiced the personal information that was only known to his dead spouses or parents. After that, most scientists refused for further experiment but the superior authority eclipsed their demand. A week passed as the man blather with the dead, guinea began to suffer, saying that they don't give him an inch rest. Every time he was awake, he was worried about the hundreds of voices that refused to leave him alone. He fought against the wall, trying to cause the sensation of pain. He begged the scientists to give him a sleeping pill, so that he can be saved from the voices in his head. The scientists agreed and lent him a pill and it worked but for only three days, after which he began a fierce, passionate nightmares. The man kept repeating incessantly that in a dream he sees and hears dead people. Only the next day guinea started screaming and clawing his blind eyes, hoping to renew his feelings. Now he fought in hysterics and said that the voices of the dead has stun and become hostile, telling him of the underworld and the end of the world. At some point, he shouted "No heaven, No forgiveness" for five hours straight. He constantly asked for euthanasia but the scientists were convinced that he would soon come into contact with God. Another day later guinea lost the ability to reproduce coherent sentences after that the man apparently lost all the sense of adequacy and reason, he began to bite his own flesh but he was stopped and bedridden.

A couple of hours later, the guinea stopped struggling and screaming. He blindly stared at the ceiling and from his eyes tears flowed blind. He lost a lot of fluid, due to the constant crying. Finally he turned his head to one side and despite his blindness, he firstly established eye contact with one of the scientists. He whispered, "I talked to God, and he left us."

At the same moment his brain stopped signalling, breath halted and the heart beats were terminated as he slowly uttered the words "No God. No Heaven. No Forgiveness..Bless Boffins"

The cause of death of the man was never established.
