It was here,

Omnipresent.
Translucent.
She could almost see it,
Tiny wisps tugging on her inner turmoil.
All consuming in its rage,
The darkness would not let her go...
It was threatening to devour her,
Piece by tiny Piece.
Eating her soul bit by miniscule bit...
Wanting her to give in to its devastatingly destructive force. Everlasting in its presence,
Darkness is doomed to roam the earth for all eternity.
And yet it chose to reside in her heart,
Her soul.
The cracked pieces of a broken girl.
And she welcomed the darkness,
As if He were an old, forgotten lover.
Finally reuniting...
