The cry of a girl

She was born to fly, to reach the sky,
she had many dreams to fulfill.
But she wasn't aware of the fact,
that being a girl was biggest crime.

She wanted to go to school lyk her brother,
but being a girl she was to do household jobs rather.
She, too, wanted to play with toys lyk other kids,
but she had to play with utensils in the kitchen sink.

She grew up seeing these differences between herself and her bro,
but she never raised her voice though.
She wept sitting in the corner of a room,
cursing the society for her doom.

Just one question she had to ask from God,
what was her fault if she was born a girl ????
