He brought a refreshing change in my monotonous life. I had always wondered if guys like him ever existed. But he changed the whole perspective of life for me. He taught me to cherish the past, live in the present, and forget about future. Life is uncertain, live today.

I met him in November. Handsome and lean, he was in his usual denim and checkered shirt. His good looks and stubble made him attractive. But after he introduced himself, I didn't find anything appealing about his character. He was the usual guy next door. We talked business, and nothing else. There was nothing interesting about him. We said a cold bye and parted our ways.

After a few days he messaged me, and we started chatting instantly. Usual business talk. As the time passed, the chit chat grew more personal.

He didn't seem to be the guy next door. He was different from other people. He loved to travel. He had travelled almost the entire world. There wasn't a country in my geography knowledge which he hadn't explored. His dreams and ambitions were different. He was a brilliant photographer as well. His pictures had a story, stories of his journeys. He searched for happiness on the strange roads, and when he found that happiness he would capture it in his camera.

His stories were interesting, which made me hooked to him on my phone for hours. A day without his story was a day incomplete. He could charm any one with his filmy dialogues. He had DDLJ as many times as I had. I guess rom coms were the only thing common between us.
We talked of places where he wanted to go. He would suggest me the places which I must visited before I die. We talked of adventure trips we could go on together. He told me about his treks in Manali, hustle of Bihar, history of Jaipur, modernity of Dubai, a few places he visited during our short tenure of togetherness. His experiences were breathtaking. He gave a me a new reasons to live. His mere presence brought a thrill to my boring life.

I enjoyed every moment that we spent together. But somewhere in me I knew he would go away on his expedition very soon. The moment arrived, and he flew away without informing anyone. I don't know where is he today. But I know he is somewhere in the world making new friends, clicking pictures of unexplored destinations, and enjoying his short stay in a faraway country.

I want to follow his steps, in hope of meeting him again, hold his hand and travel along with him wherever he goes, wherever his destination takes him. I want to become his shadow on his unknown journey of lifetime.
