Animals everywhere,
This village,
with humans they share..
Dogs on the streets,
Small,big,young,old and hungry,
entering people's yard, in search of food,
only too be driven out cruelly..
Cat on the wall,
enjoying the fish it just stole,
Arrives the neighbor from behind secretly,
Spanks poor kitty on the butt angrily..
Birds on electrical wires,
tired-looking and relaxing,
enjoying the village scenes,
While for food they keep scanning..
Little snail on the main road,
going as slowly as a drugged dingo,
Arrives the fast going car,
Ohh damn!! Ain't no way for any snail to go!
Cows in the farm,
delivering milk so warm,
loads of love and grass for them,
farmers consider them as priceless as gems...
Colorful butterflies on them flowers,
Attractive and flying happily,
Appears suddenly, Tom the cat,
determined to make them history..
Iguana on the branch,
motionless and camouflaged,
Suddenly sticks out its long tongue,
I saw it swallow a lizard old of age...
There are lots more,
unseen, yet present daily,
Animals are the ones,
forming the village's non-human community....
