He smiled at me and handed over an envelope.I did not get courage to ask but had a quick glance at the address .Being his best friend, I rightly understood that he was asking me to post the letter to his Mom at the right time .
He offered me to sit while trying to get his laptop from the corner table. Before I could sit, the hospital nurse came inside the cabin for routine check up . She reminded me of visiting hours timing.
Showing me his laptop, he started "Thanks to Writer Babu and Literati yaar" . I had no idea why he was thanking Writer Babu or Literati . Rather I thought he might be upset that his health was not permitting him to get involve in this much waited fun event.He continued " I read one of the topic of Literati. It says "What if I die tomorrow" . I asked him to change the conversation but he continued, "I dont know if it will be tomorrow but if medical science to be believed, not more than 1-2 weeks" . Just to divert the topic, I started " hey , you know ,India-Pakistan warm up T20 match is going on now , lets watch" .As soon as I switched on the TV,the visiting hours bell rang and I had to leave . Our eyes met and he was silently communicating me not to forget posting the letter at the right time .Somehow I controlled myself, said bye and rushed to the lobby.
Tears reached their threshold, crossed all boundary and started flowing completely ignoring the fact that I was in the hospital looby .Out of curosity or to really understand what my best friend was going through , I opened the letter .

Before you start complaining , let me tell you ,God is really kind.I used to think , why it happened only to me, but now I can realize I am the luckiest one. Maa .., please stop crying, Its the more than 15 days now .You know one interesting thing Mom, all apsaras in heaven are not that great (unlike what they show in TV) ,but I like 2-3 of them. They are really beautiful.Maa, tell papa that my pain is all gone. You know what, I have regained my hairs too. last night I saw myself in the mirror, I am looking really handsome . Here I dont have to wear my glasses too .., I can see everything clearly without spects.Dont laugh with this one ok ?? Last night I was snoring and my friend here really got pissed up. Now they are planning for a cricket match here .They have nominated me as the Under 20 captain .
Lastly Maa,God plans things for a reason . He did this to make me out of pain.I am seeing you and dad all the time from here . I will be really angry if you will cry from now onwards.To make me Happy , please smile all the time . And please convey to my best friend, I am missing him a lot , specially during cricket matches .
