So this is Thanksgiving but I’m always thankful
Grateful for life and a life that is so full
Every day is a day to say thank you to someone
Whether they are your pal or they are handsome
Others are mostly responsible for good things around
At times we are not grateful and never utter a sound
My wife is such a servant to me each day
Some days I don’t have a word to say
Our friends make us smile all the time
And to us at times it’s not worth a dime
My close companions I need to be more grateful
Of my brothers and sister I’m am so thankful
God is so good to be every day and no doubt
I don’t go hungry and I do have some clout
I have clothes to wear and wheels and a roof
Some don’t have any of this and no proof
I’m so thankful, God and everyone here.
Thanks for being to me so dear
I will always be so thankful for everyone
Until and always, until this earth is done
