It’s true that if there is exploitation there are 2 parties to it – The Exploiter and The Exploited. Now that the Indian Culture very well breeds these Exploiters under the name of – Caste System, Religion, Various Dogmas, Money, Sex (Male) and many more. The rest fall into the bracket of ‘The Exploited’ involuntarily. And the irony here is, ‘The Exploiter’ party is only a fraction of ‘The Exploited’. The root to all exploitation starts at a very basic level. Which eventually gets planted into the mindset of every child in that social environment – as the ‘understanding’ of the ‘system’, or as we call it ‘the way things work’. So ‘The Exploited’ is trained to get exploited and would never find a reason to protest.Example, many non-vegetarians come across the boards screaming PURE VEGETARIAN, and yet never complain. Why is that people never question “So, is non-vegetarian impure?” or “Does that mean, all non-vegetarians fed on this impurity, are impure or lowly? “ Why is that not even the educated and aware realize that the roots of this lie in our caste system? Same is the case with the femininity of India. The females of India are trained to be ‘The Exploited’. Right from the childhood they are required to be quite, discreet and reserved. More so, the system trains them to be secretive, there fore making it extremely difficult for them to be vocal about crimes against them. Further more, it’s unladylike to have one’s own opinion or a self-expression. The fairness creme ads (banned in aware nations) – attaches a girls success to her complexion. Anti-aging ads- speak out loud that it’s natural for men to leave you as you age. The illogical TV soaps – always endorse the meek, in-opinionated, voiceless home maker whose jobs are to listen to everyone, keep her head covered and gaze at the floor all the time, cook well, clean well and produce children. In the dowry rampant states of India, a girl is required to be like Laxmi(Goddess of Money). No one wants a Saraswati, Durga or Kaali. And this list of atrocious example setting is never ending. Its high-time that we stop training our girls into being exploited. The culture, the definition of Indian Female, in-numerous,illogical TV Soaps, the advertisements - many more. Each of these plays a critical role. Hence, every body and any body who feels responsible for a girl in their life – needs to bring up this change. Every girl needs to be brought up with self respect and a strong image of oneself. She needs to be taught to see right from wrong. Grooming is important, but more than her physique/ face – her personality needs to be set as her real identity. She needs to be taught that it’s not ‘OK’ to compromise at every point in her life. Independence has to be encouraged. She needs to be taught to shout a loud NO at the very first trace of exploitation and injustice. Confidence needs to be her strength. There are many laws to protect the Indian Female – every girl needs to be aware of it. And there is something for the boys too. The “Don’t be that guy” campaign. The heinous, atrocious chauvinistic remarks by celebrated ‘’men’’ – need to be rejected by everyone. Such scandalous speakers must be made to apologies in public. Every woman needs to give out the message that she is not weak and cannot be taken for granted. And in case of any mishap – she needs to be taught not to be quite. She needs to be taught that forgiving a brute is to endanger another female. Above all, a girl needs to be taught not to be a victim.
