Spread the Word

Alexa world rank crossed the 100,000 mark. A landmark indeed. Now the data will be maintained more precisely by alexa and the rankings will be more accurate. Big moment for all the authors and readers.

This weekend lots of small but important tasks will be completed and there will be some visible improvements in writerbabu.

A new idea is cropping up in my mind to make it more interesting. How about inviting professional writers to get their work reviewed by common readers on writerbabu. It will bring in interesting material to read for the readers and will also benefit those professional writers.

And also its time to spread the word. It has already been so interesting with this much number of authors, what if more people join us and share thier life and creativity. Won't it be more interesting? I had been thinking of how to reach out to more people lately but couldn't come up with a satisfying plan. I'll need help from the authors here.

Please suggest some plan, some idea.

Here is what I thought and discarded.

1. Creating a page for campuses and start involving people from various campuses( for which I had really nice ideas and had almost finished coding for that). This can spread as forest fire but will destroy the unique feel which has had been maintained. Its a very personalized feel. Everyone belongs to all. Campuses will create differences. I don't want that at any cost.

2. To spread the idea. Sending mailers to all contacts asking them to forward it to all. But this is lame. I hate spams and will never do this. I don't like forcing people. For the same reason there are so few likes on the Facebook fan page. All likes are totally genuine. Today a professional author from France liked our page. Great feeling.
Btw, I m also not sure that I write a good mail ...:P and getting it written by someone who don't understand the feel doesn't make sense.

Well one thing I love doing is designing. And have designed few nice posters which I'll be circulating in few colleges ...atleast IIT Delhi.

There must be some awesome and new way of reaching out to people. We must discover it. I am very optimistic that we can invent something as innovative as wheel, because writers are thinkers and dreamers.

If i said things too outrageous, I won't apologize ... take it as troll .. . ... :P
