Everyone in this world, no matter rich or poor, old or young, has some secrets close to their hearts. We are nothing without our secrets. Our secrets is what defines us. It is said, "Man is not what he thinks he is, he is what he hides".
But not many of us can keep secrets well. Many of us tend to tell our secrets to once close to us or sometimes accidentally spill them out. But one should remember, 'If you can't keep your own secrets, don't expect others to keep them'. When a secret is revealed, its the fault of the man who confided it. Anyone to whom you reveal your secrets can use it against you, to destroy you or harm you or even take advantage for that matter.
Also a secrets worth depends upon from whom you hide it. For one person your secret might be of importance but for another it may be of no value. You do not share everything with everyone. Your behavior with every other person varies. So accordingly worth of a secret varies from person to person.
But there's also other side. It needs great effort (and also lots of luck) to find someone with whom you can share your secrets without any hesitation. A man who keeps secrets is wise, but he is not half as wise than a man who dosen't have any. Its usually nice to have someone with whom who you can share your secrets. It frees you from the load of keeping secrets.
So there is no denying that everyone has secrets and they do define us. You and me would not be what we are, without our secrets.
