Ranjhanaa !! A movie released last week has been received very well. Love stories make me frown and usually I end up sleeping midway while the lovers are singing songs or busy in their spats while repeating already that has been said over and over again in different ways about the general behavior of men and women.
Ranjhanaa a story added in a genre already saturated with the plethora of movies. But viewers went to see this. Publicity proves to be a big factor in promotion. Apart from gimmicks ,viral videos and promotional events the real publicity is done by a network which is only generated if the movie is good. It's called Word Of Mouth publicity. You say you liked it and i should definitely go to see it and carry forward the same message to my buddies. Yes, this publicity worked on me this time.
Ranjhanaa!! A tribute to all those Galli ke Majnus who exist everywhere. Their existence is trivial and proved when they are q cause of something that is abnormal. The protagonist proves this by saying "humare UP mein ladkiyan DO tareekon se patayee jaatee hain-,ek uska peecha karte raho aur do gunda gardi pe utar aao". The majnus are the creation of Their imaginary Lailas. A talented guy in pursuit of something that could not be his. The girl proves she didn't give a shit about him and uses him like a napkin whenever she wanted help. Majnu being the ass, spending money and time while the girl being a practical one that moves on and derives a goal and love in the process.
Is there a message behind the story that has been shown or is it just me that's deriving a parable symbolism. Hidden in the psychedelic music and stunning cinematography is a message teaching the young kids --You got to act rationally and deal maturely with the way the world functions. Or be ready to pay a hefty price.
