Can torture ever purify the guilty? Well that was how it was thought to be
in the days of kingships, and thieves, robbers, prisoners of war and other serious offenders were tortured for eliciting confessions, confidential information about an enemy or a hostile neighbour. In present days, torture methods are resorted to by police, blackmailers and extortionists. But I can not visualise in my wildest imagination that torture will purify anyone or group.
