Maybe I would not be able to explain it properly due the amount of thought process that goes behind any seemingly simple decision like not having a profile pic. But I will try my best.
A lot of people ask this question every now and then that why writerbabu don't have profile pics yet like other social networks. Many times I say that it will be there and currently it is not a priority, but at some level I don't want to have it here at all.
I believe that more you know about someone the more opinion you develop about that person. If you know how someone looks like, his writings will have a slightly( maybe entirely) different meaning to you. Ultimately writers can be identified by their writing styles when you read their posts often. Identity is incomplete without an image of the person and its a very very important part of the identity. You may not develop any opinion about someone if you just know their name, but having a look at their face one may develop some strong unconscious opinions and it may affect future interactions with that person. We are usually nice to the strangers .. :P .. hence initial interaction with anyone here will always be nice. I hope so ... :P
I believe one should be known by their writings here and any relationship they build with their readers should be based on just how they write and what they write, because writings comes from inside. Writing is the inner beauty, the beauty of your mind, why distort it with something so superficial like profile pic which changes every now and then.
All that I write above are crop of my mind hence I find it difficult to contradict it. Please share your views so that we can have a clearer picture on this issue.
Btw I am really busy in book writing feature hence even if we decide to have profile pics, it will be far away in future ... :P
