So numb with pain that he was afraid of the light of her soul;
the tingles of her laughter,
the warmth of her smile,
the tenderness of her love,
the care in her eyes.

He was afraid of her;
the feelings she brewed inside his tainted heart yet he felt peaceful in her presence and searched for her fragrance in her absence.
