All day long
I strove
I craved
I sought
for things meaningless
like vapor
like grass
temporal
and crass
but when I came
in Your Presence
my tears began
down the face they ran
my lips quivered
hands shivered
You heard me out
spoke Your thought
peace surged from within
soaking through my skin
now I realize
even as I rise
perfect bliss and ease
and joy unending
comes from spending
just a moment
with You my Lord!
