I was nicknamed the MasterMind or Master planner at school. It was my classmates, during a chess game. It was against some of the best chess players in the class. There was a small crowd around us. Some tried to help, but I scolded them and told them I'm gonna it on my own.
Frankly, I didn't think I would win. The others had think 15 minutes of game and I would lose. But I held on, for a whole hour. my opponent was exhausted visibly.
So it went like this. I was thinking of my next play and I check mated the guy in an unexpected move. He and everyone else was shocked, while I let out sigh of relief.
I stood up and we shook hands. And then he said:
"You looked like a master planner with that amount of concentration"
I laughed. It was a joke. But my friends coined me the nickname of the mastermind.. :D
