It has been long since a new feature was added. Had been working on improving things which work behind the scenes to provide you a better experience. So here is the GOOD news.
Crowd-source editing / collaborative editing
Now anyone can provide their suggestions on how a word or a line in any post can be substituted with a better suited word or a phrase. Basically one can suggest edits in a post. All you need to do is just select the word or line. When you select a word or a line by mouse drag, it will open a small suggestion box. So write in your comment or views and submit. The author of the post will be able to see the suggestions at the bottom of the post ( which no one else will be able to see). If the author finds your suggestions valuable, he/she may thank you by click of a button.
Both author and the person providing suggestions will get notifications for incoming suggestions and thanks received respectively. If you are thanked for your suggestion you will gain reputation points as well. This reputation gain is currently not incorporated but will be done soon.
Let me know what do you think about this new feature. Also suggest changes in this post too as there are always many mistakes in spelling and grammar as I write. Am posting this post unedited.
P.S: We need to keep in mind that not everyone writes from the point of view of improving writing skills.
