It was 2004. Mobiles and Emails were the new sciency stuff in the block. Everyone was into them. It is a story of that time. An English couple decided to go to Venice to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Because of the hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their schedules, so the husband flew to Venice on Saturday, with his wife joining him the next day.
The husband checked into the hotel named Hotel Paradise. He decided to call his wife to let his wife know of his safe arrival, but to his dismay, his phone was dead. There was a computer in his room, so he thought, hey! Why not just mail her? However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email, and without noticing it, sent the mail.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Scotland, a widow just returned home after her husband’s funeral. After spending 40 years together, her husband passed away the previous morning due to a heart failure. The widow decided to check her email expecting condolences from her relatives and friends. But after reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. Her daughter ran into the room, found her mother on the floor, and saw the message. It read:
To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I’ve reached safely
Date: May 16, 2004
This may come as a surprise. But they have got computers and you are allowed to mail all your loved ones from here, not only computers but all kinds of latest gadgets. I have arrived and just checked in. The whether is simply exquisite. They even give you a personal butler here, at Paradise. I think everything is in order for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to meet you tomorrow! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
P.S-I Love you.
