We all hear about them, we all THINK we know about them , but do we really know a naxalite? They say, the government is wrong, and the police is wrong too. And are said to be wrong by the government and police too. But , we are not them, we are not government, and we students definitely are not police. So how to decide? How to know, which part of the coin is real,,
Allow me to aware you of the origin of the word NAXALIES, the word got its roots drawn to the village of "naxalbari" in west Bengal,,where the movement is claimed to begin,,the leaders who thought of this were kanu senyal and jangal santhal..
now,, sparing you the little details of the base principles and motives behind its foundation and the ideals of maxism-leninism ,,let me just conclude it that a violent trifle between the landowners and tribal, back in 1967,, led to the formation of an army of self justified people ,,whose no. Of cadres reached a mighty 70,000 by 2006 (according to the research and analysis wing), and who covered approximately 180 districts in ten states of India by the late 2009..
They attack police and government officials,, in order to revenge the injustices they faced. My sympathies lie with them as they have suffered. But is it right , to make normal people suffer in their act of revenge? Yes,, revenge revenge revenge,, it's all they thrive on,, it's all they live for, but how far is revenge justified.. Today most naxalies know nothing but REVENGE,, and it's like the fire once lit to brighten up houses,, but now,,, its torching the houses themselves.
Then again, its a only-incoming-no-outgoing business. About a 33% of them unwillingly are made to do their dirty bidding, as them poor uneducated lot know nothing else but to follow the commander's order. Most want to leave,, but then, the life of their families are on the pity of the leaders. One of their man is shot today,, they torch up a police station tomorrow?? What kind of justice is that? They shot the RPF security personnel few days back in the Jamui on the Dhanbad-Patna intercity express,, and if the officers are to be believed, it was an attempt to grab arms and ammunition . Now if you kill a police man to have his pistol, or thinking you are lessening the amount of security forces against you,, you are sadly transformed into a monster.
the naxalites are Indian terrorists, unfortunately, once against the bad, today against humanity.
We all hear of the nuisance created by them ,, many have heard sympathy stories about them.. each one, has a view of her own..
But to be true,, the origin was a justified action,, the oppression was needed,, but then it lost its way.. they are involved in the same action, what they once stood against for. Once, they were farmers, fighting for their fields. Today, they are bandits,, fleeing for their life, and on the run they willingly kill anyone associated with the police or the government.
Once...they deserved justice. Today...justice deserves them.
