MY SPIRIT DIES

Life is a difficult journey, I always knew
Everyone suffers there’s nothing new
Happy people, Blissful life is an illusion
Cries, pain, sorrow is what comprises life’s solution

My heart, Oh! It cries
Helpless! Breathless! Hopeless! , it sighs
Trying to live by each day with a smile
Singing a melancholic tune,

OH MY SPIRIT DIES

Oh my spirit dies!
With each failure my heart cries
Tears of broken dreams, promises and tries
And of hopes that never rise

Will there ever be a happy day, I wonder
Oh Lord, tell me, don’t take forever
For ‘Forever’ is not what I can take
So make it for me before I shatter and break.
