When I woke up in the morning,
I saw a golden lining.
It was the sun shining,
All around me there was no grinning.
Sometimes the clouds rapidly burst,
Quenching the soul's inner thirst.
Beautiful were the summers and the spring,
Merry songs, the birds did sing.
Life was like sailing with the flow,
Sailing I was like CAPTAIN SPARROW.
I made some peers and some foes,
With some people I got really close.
I have come far from that place,
But still in my personal space,
For my traveled streets I crave,
In front of life I am a slave,
To be back there I can't see a time very soon,
Etched in my eyes are the memories of my Doon!
