In the corner of my home,
Resides my memories strong.
In that lovely palace,
I grew up like a prince.
The scolding of my father,
Upon doing a folly.
The lap of my mother,
After a match in the gully.
The hide and seek games,
The genuine laughter and pain.
Ink-stained shirts of yore,
Of small crushes I used to ponder.
The priceless road pebbles,
The heartfelt friendly squabbles.
A chest full of lovely toys,
A tiffin opening up a loud noise.
In the corner of my home,
Resides my memories strong.
The remarks of my teacher,
When I had topped the class.
The cloak of warmth,
Which I had worn for twelve years.
Awesome days they were,
Ones which laid life threadbare.
