I wonder what people would say
at my bedside one day
'oh, poor she
boy, was she free
but now look at her
a wrinkled grandmother!'
or would it be
this from my darling hubby
'I really don't care
she's a gem so rare
looks don't matter'
silencing their chatter
I'd squeeze his gnarled palm
as he gazes in alarm
'love you honey
for standing by me
through thick n thin
my closest of kin'
he'd then kiss me on my lips
my heart making numerous flips
'love you too darling
my glorious morning
you're always in my heart
till death do us apart.
