Coming, going we are so busy, today
It seems we have too much time to play
Life is a serious chore
And we long for more
More of the good life we live for.
But...what is really the good life?
Is it filled with comfort or strife?
If I fail a few times a long the way
Will it be bad or a brighter day
Each day I awake with an instilled dream
My eyes are awakened with a supernatural gleam
Striving onward and upward each day
Not looking for much time to play.
I'm not saying that playing isn't fine
This is a type of playing of a different kind
Not just for the fun of it or pleasures today
But a thought of eternity a long the way
Every task should be exciting, kind of like play
A challenge, a heartache won't always stay
Again onward and forward to our goals in a day
Without a vision a man is lost and full of dismay.
Aha, there is hope at the end of this journey
All the while, moving on our path and always learning
Each day God is waiting to speak to us and say,
"You've done some great things Well done today."
The last lines are really good...
