Sins occupy a very important place in men's lives. Men includes women and all animals. If i had written that men includes women and "all other animals", i become an anti-feminist. If i had written men, women and other animals, you could ask me why men first and women second. If i write men, women and animals, i become anthropocentric. So, to wash away all sins, i would say - Lives of all animals revolve around sins.
Abhishek S. is an animal. The initial 'S' represents his father's name. It was his grandfather who advised against having caste mentioned in the full name. He was not ashamed of his caste. He thought that by the time Abhishek grows up, caste will become irrelevant and old-fashioned. Abhishek tried to change his name to include the caste but there was strong defiance from the grand daddy's framed photo in front of which his papa and mamma used to prostrate.
Why did he want the change? He fell in love. Before the fall, he forgot to ask the beloved's caste. After the fall, there was no time. Running around trees, switching ice creams, salivating over cellphones, detesting all other 'animals' who talk to the other person....all the paraphernalia for a long-term love labour contract which could be terminated only on grounds of unfaithfulness and act of god.
The Abhishek S. family had a problem - It had no record of what caste they belong to. That framed gentleman wisely burnt all records and did not pass this information to any of his siblings or sons. The first Indian family which does not have a caste identity. The fame brought with it fumes. Marital bliss might be intervened by a martial twist. The issue was referred to that group of men. Here, men includes men only.
The verdict came out of seven moustaches together. Dissolve the love or die with shame. This is when Abhishek saw the actual meaning of the smile on the grand dad's framed face. He was mocking him. He was challenging him. Abhishek sought to defy the men. They removed their dhoti and took out their gun (pun not at all intended).
He went up to one of the moustaches. Asked him his father's name. Asked him his father's father's name. Asked him his father's father's father's name. No single moustache was spared. Nobody knew who the greatest grandfather was.
He knew. Love blossomed. Abhishek's child was called Narayana. That is it. No head. No tail.
