What are we doing? In this so self-centric world, we are all the time thinking, analyzing and then again thinking each and every thing that happens. Thinking all the time that what we assume is correct and crisp to the point, while others those who talk are unintelligible masses and think bullshit. Take the case of news. So many business gurus, thinking gurus, self-proclaimed gurus give opinion of each and every thing. They indulge in all sorts of debates happening whether they actually know about that particular piece of news is a second thing altogether.
So, we have a view on everything, but it’s more on what will catch others interest, make us believe in ourselves that we are so beyond the common masses. However, are we noticing the mundane things? Of life? The normal colorful world? The hullabaloo of a normal life.
Take another case, we are so self-engrossed. Through technologies. Actually through mobiles. Every time we can see someone or the other plugged in with their earphones, hearing FMs, on call with others. Walk and talk, that was the philosophy that one of the telecom companies propagated. However, through that, what has actually happened, we have shunted the life. We do not know what is happening. We have stopped noticing people. We have started believing a parallel world of our own making. Totally indifferent to others. Others pains, others pleasures, others happiness, others sadness. No, that does not matter to us. We are so different.
Is this the world we want our next generation to be? The World of Indifference? How are we going to meet new people, know new experiences if we are so stuck in a meshed spider web of our own making? That’s what I believe sometimes the daily passengers of Mumbai local train are at advantage with. They have formed groups, where they share experience, form own allegiances.
So people, dedicate at least one day to what is actually present around you. Experience the normal life without any gadgets. Hear things. See things. Feel those things. The smell. All our sensory feelings. And you will actually at the end of the day feel that yes, I am different. That I am not the only one with problems. That I am actually privileged. That I am the one who can actually let go of the luxuries that I thought I would have never thought otherwise to live without!
P.S - OK, this one was my view again on everything. But then, we are humane, allowed to do commit same mistakes that we prohibit others not to do, right? ;)
