I miss the wb of old. When i would begin the day early at six..read posts n laugh..n thots would just come wildly all day.
wen even one hats off sent me into ecstasy! speechless would give me the highest high!
now as someone put in, its all about showing who's right who's wrong.
now its all about showing others the way down by giving him as many hummms as possible.
i am sorry for starting this er..'discussion' folks!
well, for the last time, i quit being 'komisch' for utterly honest, sincere reasons.
Not to be seen, advertised at all.
I still write..mostly into books now..
folk..i still do read ur posts..
i wish u d not let small things steal ur peace. life's fun..writing's fun..let's enjoy it.
as for being at the top, i always said i HATED the ranking system.
it creates a wall between fellow authors..whether u like to admit or not..
and one poor writer feels left out as none regards him or her much.
so i feel ranking is outdated.
unnecessary hype's created when rank comes in. competetion comes in leading to oneupmanship and strife.
let's all be one.
all are fabulous writers!
each one so unique.
one creates sheer magnificence out of dust, so to say . one writes grt poems, one writes stories. one pens novels, another does current events.
no one shd be out to gobble up another. it arises out of insecurity.
which of course arises out of ranking again!
now tell me fellow writers, how many times do u glance at the points u made each day, or how close the fellow below you inched towards u in terms of ranking?
pls..its awfully true!
if we write unfettered by this nonsense, we can write uncluttered. Absolutely.
write, for fun, as free.
only don't indulge in a 'free for all' :)
And do please BUY n READ my book.

its weird, why suddenly this restlessness in the serenity of the website?
There are good and bad points both in any system, its all how you take it. People are being bothered because they are giving more importance than needed. Maybe the display of rankings on home page makes you give it more importance. Maybe we can remove it from home page.
We just can't remove the point system and rankings altogether, they encourage to write and read more. And don't worry, people (if any) who down vote you just for the sake of ranking!! You just need not worry about down votes anyway ... you really know when you have written a good piece ... its the inner satisfaction which drives you to write ... and there will always be people who will appreciate your hard work ... trust me!! I know almost everyone here by their behavior ...!! They are much more in number!! Don't be discouraged.
We need all kind of people here ... to have a taste of real world and lets not strive for heaven!!
Its an art to live like a lotus in mud!! Too much of good can destroy the importance and struggle to be good!!
Right?
And anyway these are my initial thoughts, will think more deeply on this issue, let me take some time. Thanks for raising this issue, we need constant feedback regarding the quality of the system too.
