Its a big day today for Ishan, WriterBabu and us. Congratulations for publishing your first book 'Anjuman' :)
I first read Ishan's work about one year ago when he first posted Smoking Kills and some other poem. I read each of his writings more than twice just get hold of it. And hence am writing this post to let people know how to read Ishan.
You have to sit down first and remove each and every thing from your mind. You need to read slowly. Each word is powerful and have a lot to say. You just can't read his writing, you have to feel every bit of it.
He writes mostly about emotions and to connect to him, you need to understand him. I have never seen him, but imagine a very ordinary looking boy in his 22-25s with an extraordinary sensitivity and creativity. He sits by a lonely beach on a cloudy Sunday morning and its his day. When he closes his eyes, he is flying high on the clouds and he can feel what he want to feel, love, anger, sadness, joy all on your own will. He has his memories and his aspirations and his desires. And holds a pen through which he bleeds his heart out. Slowly.
So read him slowly and with a relaxed mind, am sure you can feel the parallel universe.
Okay, whatever I said, don't over-do it!! You have a book to finish ... :P
Wish you luck buddy!! :)
