1. Be sociable
People with low self-esteem tend to isolate themselves from others. It’s very important to talk and express yourself. That way, you’ll lighten up things and gain more confidence as you interact with people. Also, if you stop being afraid of meeting new people, you will soon realize that everyone has the same fears and the same desires as you do and they are also looking for opportunities to express themselves.
2. Be ambitious
Set yourself a big life goal and try to achieve it no matter what. Motivate yourself and be positive all the time about achieving your goal. Don’t get distracted by what people say. It will be a difficult task at the beginning, however, soon you will start getting closer to achieving your goal and you will quickly see a positive change in your self-esteem and confidence level. You will then be able take up new tasks and not run away from opportunities coming in for you.
3. Be notable
Do something notable that will set you apart from everyone else and let you stand out. Try to develop your hidden talents or maybe do some volunteering and social work. This way, you’ll be noticed by everyone around and you’ll feel good about the work you’re doing and also about yourself. It’ll boost your confidence in a great way.
4. No one is perfect
Accept that no one is perfect. Don't try to be perfect, because it's impossible. You will always find some flaws in your looks or your personality. And if and when you do, don’t focus on the flaws and try to improve those areas. Focus your energy on more meaningful goals in your life. Also, always be surrounded by people who encourage and praise you, so that you always are moving ahead in life.
5. Don’t be afraid
Don't be afraid of trying new things or making mistakes. After all, people learn from making mistakes. It is a natural part of life which you will never be able to avoid. So, step out of your comfort zone and be brave!
6. Be an individual
Be yourself. That’s the trick! Don't be afraid to do things on your own and aim to have your own opinion about life. You are an individual, and like any other person, you too have your say and set of opinions and thoughts. Do not try to change yourself for anyone else or to “fit in” a particular set of culture/group. Follow your own dreams not other people's dreams. Do things that you like and that make you happy and not to please others. Remember, you are original and not made in China!
7. Appreciate yourself
How do you expect to become a confident and attractive woman if you don't appreciate yourself? Never ever underestimate yourself and don’t let anyone else put you down either. Whenever you achieve something, pat your back or treat yourself at the nearest ice cream shop or buy something you like. Learn to respect yourself and others will follow. Remember, you need to build your own standards.
8. Smile
Just smile! Research has shown that the simple act of smiling can boost your mood and confidence immediately. Not only that you will feel better, but people would also be more open to talk with you. You’ll feel confident that way, open to new opportunities to interact, suggest and socialize. Also, it makes you look prettier and open to challenges. Half you work is done with that smile of yours!
9. Are you a smelly?
High self esteem and good hygiene go hand in hand. A smelly person is big turn-off and often gets avoided. Never skip showers, always have clean clothes and don't forget to brush your teeth! A pleasing personality will surely boost your confidence and keep you going.
10. Have a good style
This doesn't mean that you should buy the most expensive shoes in the store. No! It means that you should buy clothes that make you look beautiful. The most expensive is not always the nicest. Carry yourself well, believe that you look smart and have a good sense of style. Don’t wear clothes only because everyone else is going after that trend, wear what suits your personality! Be yourself, be confident.
