According to Jainism, Krishna after his death went to hell for his exploits (sex and violent). I tend to agree with this view.

This is what is if you go by what are available in Bhagavat Purana, Vishnu Purana, Mahabharata regarding his life and deeds. Regarding the view Jainism has taken, I have gathered from literature.

Well, the hinduism that I know of and follow, says the Lord is the universe and everything in it. nothing exists in mind or space, that is not he. so, I shall not be surprised if you say he has traversed the hell.

Topics of this nature require prolonged discussion because as I have told earlier it all depends how one views it. That is the problem with all faiths. If you believe without seeing, then anything can be justified in the name of faith. I have written what I have learnt from mythological and other literature.

Not really. I would only suggest that if you want to know things correctly, you must go to original not to different versions you may come across. That is why I gave the reference to Bhagavat Purana and Vishnu Purana. They exclusively deal with Krishna, Vishnu. I read the entire of Bhagavata Purana nearly 3 decades ago. Otherwise, it will be a waste of time. But do not confuse this Purana with Shrimad Bhagavatam.

I have always felt God as infinity...and so every line he said could encompass in them infinite levels of interpretation, Depending on the reader's intellect or his status in the quest of truth. So, I always felt that when, I assert that a sentence in Bhagavad Gita means this and nothing else, I am bringing down the entire idea of the sentence into something finite.

Probably, your thinking is in the right direction. In my younger years, I have visited many places, met personally many, have been reading scriptures from the originals from the age of 16. My conclusion is spiritualism is in your hands because it is the simplest of all, but the most difficult to practise, particularly if one leads a worldly life.
