4 years ago she got married. Like any other girl he became her world. So much so she forgot her dreams and embraced his with such a vehemence they lost the differance.
Life was all about him, His likes, What he wants and how he likes it. He loved her back in his own smug ways. But there was no complaining. Whenever he spoke of his dreams (which was all he ever did) her eyes visualized them for him.
Finally the moment she waited for every second of her time came. At her friend's wedding he came to her and said why don't you get the mehndi put on your hands like all your friends? She just stared speachless. Like a woman with all the stars from the gallexy she got the mehndi put. Showed it to everyone saying look sunny made me put this mehndi. I have never had such a dark colour before. With hope and happiness shinning from her being saying that you matter too you are too part of his being.
She waited anxiously for him to come and get her from her friend's house. Dying with excitment to show him the mehndi.
Just a few minutes after his message 'Iam coming for you' came her family with the medical staff. Her eyes searched for him Oblivious of anything or anyone around him. Her insides yearned for his expression on her mehndi.
Her father walks upto her and tells her you will need your strength sunny is in the hospital. He has been shot.
She just stared.... before she could react a cannula was firmly in place with sedatives pouring her veins. Wait what are they saying this is all wrong...why is my family crying! Where is sunny??? her mind kept asking her. But her body would not react. The drugs had rendered her numb and her reactions could not be executed. She felt like she was trapped, imprissoned in her own body.
The night became morning but she was still trapped within the jail of drugs numbing her, or merely just preventing her from reacting. But she looked at the haggard faces of those who loved her and were desparately trying to hide something from her.
It din't work. She knew it. The void she felt inside was not something that could be hidden. She saw her world shatter into thousand pieces and worse even though the sound was deafenning she could not budge. She did not need sedatives to stay calm her life was burried in the silence of someone all alone. She knew now what it meant to be living dead.
They went up to her to break the news. They screamed at her for a reaction. Their eyes were met with a stare of death.
She was dragged outside, Everyone saying come say your good byes we are bringing him. All she realised was his presance. That was enough to drag her out of her reverie. He is coming he is here I can sense him! she said to herself.
Where is he? She searched all around her. I know he is here but where she wondered in wardly. Suddenly she saw him! Wrapped in white cloth his face was visible smilling at her. Her heart went out to him. He looks so handsome. She wanted him to speak to her. She wanted one last chance to tell him she loves him more then anything. But she knew he wont reply.
Soon they took him away. People came back after performing the last rituals to send him on his journey. Everyone spoke of how the media shouted of his death. How people had closed their shops and waited for his body to arrive. His pictures showing on every channel in the country.
There came a sound of agony. The pain in that voice tore all ears hearing. It was the sound of someone dying a thousand deaths together. It was her. She was crying with a maddness of someone who has just been given the world but is all alone in it.
This was his dream! He wanted the media to talk about him. Every news channel should show his pictres. People should wait for his arrival. He got it! He had it all! She could sense his fullfilment his ecstacy. Her head bowed she fell on her knees and cried with broken sobs. This time she cried for her. Where were her dreams?? What and who was her's? She sobbed and suddenly those sobs turned to mirth. She laughed and laughed and laughed.
They wanted emotion from her here it is. She laughed at herself. All her life she lived for fullfilling her parents dreams then her husbands and today in one go she had shattered everything! Her parents dream to see her happily marrried. Her dremas of being with him forever.
She felt the steel of someone's arms around her. They were telling her to be strong. But she cried and laughed at the same time. For the first time uncaring of anything anyone said. Letting her do this for herself. This was to be her first beginning ever!
