I'd give my single-liner review something like this, “HEROINE is the worst Madhur Bhandarkar movie I've ever seen." Not my underratings, expection were too high, perhaps.. There were two things that I undisputedly loved:
1. Kareena's lipstick-less lips
2. And highly elevated sung the title track (Main Heroine Hoon) just pleased my ears so very much
Of course this movie revolved around character of Kareena but every small character was needed to deliver a strong performance. Everyone seemed impactless (even Randeep Hudda, Alas!) except Kareena and Arjun Rampal. This was kind of a movie that needed sturdily written dialogues and sharp edge events. The movie lacked in both. Kareena’s throughout-movie-ran tears looked real. An attitude that was required on face was missing.
After fifteen minutes of intermission, the movie somehow picked up the track but this could not fill the loss made in first half. At one point I feared are they going to complete the movie with everything fixed (the worst possible ending that could be), thank God! He ended it in incompleteness.
