Superfluous and astounding illusion,
Goes deep within the human psyche,
Where from doth that dream come?
Resounding joy or sorrow to the heart,
Huge victories in formidable fortress
In ashes lay the charred aspiration,
Huge rejection from earthly beings
Or neglect from heavenly ones,
It seems as a death knell!
In love and wine, the transient joys
We feel, intoxicated and selfish,
Want to inanimate the dark
World of murderous bliss, earthly joys,
Or, a spirit of humanity and eternal love,
In meditation we lie under the blazing sky,
No wind, song or thought could make us budge,
We would be the Enlightened One of modern times,
Until we lay back our eyes
To practicality, that awkward moment
twinkle to the sky above,
Wished that we be back to the Utopia.
