In many democratic set-ups, governments in the process of governing may create opportunities for corruption. Government should no doubt have the final say on any matter of public importance, but it should humbly accept the truth that it need not always be right. Hence, instead of being an arrogant egotist, government should correct itself as and when it treads the wrong path. To govern a democracy such as ours is no less difficult than complete renouncement of the world. To govern, democratically or otherwise, is to regulate and ensure that every system functions within a specified band. Wherever and whenever excesses occur, they should be curbed with the topmost priority since excess of anything is bad (See my Post 'TIMELESS QUOTE' dated 30/AUG/2014).
