We all lie, all the time. Even a little child will lie to his mother or father because he fears the results of his actions. But, people also lie to themselves and surprisingly it works. They will do it intentionally or without they even notice it. Have you ever tell yourself "Its Ok if I don't get it, maybe I am not supposed to get it" or " They were probably better than me" We tr
y to convince ourselves that it doesn't matter. This is natural human behavior. But, one the other hand, we sometimes tend to demonstrate this without even noticing it. Let me give an example.Once again I will use a social experiment. It is called the QUATTRONE and TVERSKY’S EXPERIMENT. Okay so what happen in it. There are two group of people. The responsible will show them effects of doing sports and so on, on their body. But the aim of the experiment is to see how much time they can lift up their hands in cold water. They were ask to do the experiment once. After this, The second group was told that people with good health and heart tend to lift their hands much longer in cold water. The results were astonishing. On the second attempt, The second group lifted their hands much longer compared to the first group. Why so?Well, the people convinced themselves that they were in good health and hence resisted much longer in the water. We often tend to convince ourselves. We lie to ourselves to have better life, better results and not to be disappointed.
