Bobby Knight once said "The key is not the 'will to win'...everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important." To what extent was he right?
Most of us have the will to do something, it may be good or bad, but we do have it. Like the sportsman has the will to get the gold medal at the Olympics, we all aim at something. Something we consider as our goal, our ultimate aim. This particular aim we want to achieve to make us satisfied or happy. We all want to be worthy of something. We all want to look back one day and say - "Yes I have achieved something".
But do we have the willingness to get up each day and walk a bit towards the aim? It is very easy to aim at something. As Bobby Knight said, having the will to win is one thing, but having the will to prepare to win is some other related thing.
In the way towards the aim, there will be obstacles and most of the time we will have one knee down. But its the ability we have to raise up that defines us. It is the will to get ready for the goal. We may have a target but if we don't put the efforts, the resources, the will to get up each day and walk a bit of the path towards the aim, the aim will stay an aim.
