Once I was watching TV at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Then suddenly I heard my mom gasping loudly. Curious as a cat, I went in the kitchen to investigate..
"What happened mom?", I asked, trying to look concerned.
She pointed across the window. When I went to look, I saw on an electrical pole a man.
"He's electrified and going to die", announced mom suddenly.
I could literally feel my jaws dropping. Without thinking much, I sprinted towards dad's bedroom (he was sleeping as he had night shift that night). I flung the door open and jumped on his bed.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!", I shouted at the top of my voice, "THERE'S A MAN OVER THERE.. HE'S GETTING ELECTROCUTED..HE STUCK ON THE ELECTRICAL POLE!!!!"
Waking up with a sudden jolt, my dad hurried to investigated. I led him to the kitchen window from where I saw the 'incident'. I was almost feeling like a boss.
However, when he saw the man, he looked at me angrily and said:
"He is not getting electrocuted, he is just repairing some technical problems."
I stared at him then at the man on the pole, then again at him.
" Next time if you disturb my peaceful sleep, I'm gonna spank that little fat ass of yours and cancel your pocket money. Is that clear?", he declared, fuming with fury, frustrated that his sleep was broken.. perhaps believing that I was playing a dirty prank.
He then made his way back to his room and closed the door behind him. Next thing I knew, Mom was laughing uncontrollably at my foolishness.
Mom really made a fool out of me.. :(
