It has been quite time I have been observing a few things going on here on Writerbabu. What caught my attention the most is that posts of people are rated and it, as intended, is taken by writers as a direct feedback. There are lots of writers whom I often saw ranting at times when the posts are underrated. I also have observed, it sometimes have largely demoralized writers, even few of them prefer to write as anonymous.
This whole concept seems like a writer is being judged instead of being read and provided with feedback. Even comments include words like 'hats-off' or 'speechless' is so excess. Would we really put our hat off if we were reading the post. With the term speechless, I agree till some extent, there ARE posts which leave us speechless.
Most of us, the writers, here on Writerbabu are youngsters, we don't like to be judged. There is a fundamental difference between being criticized and being judged.
Though, I myself am not much victim of this phenomena however, I can sense it all around the concept. We should not forget while designing ideas when we are dealing with social sentiments and thought expression in public, we cannot ignore human values and emotions in our design.
Now, I have two choices, either I let it go and keep writing as usual. Or, go about it, test my theories and make some solid conclusions. Therefore, for next one week I am going to interview few of authors, readers and if possible, designers of this website.
This is my effort only in pursuit to make our Writerbabu a better place for all of us. No matter what, we love to write here :)

And you're right...a writer or an 'author' for that matter has a responsibility when he uses his words. after all he writes for it to be a read...!
