I honestly don't know what to say about the polling and the ranking out here. I really feel they should be done away with..as someone suggested the other day.
But I know people will rise up in cudgels, sleeves rolled, eyes reddened and wide, glaring like mad at poor me!
I suggested this many times but went unheeded.
But is ranking and polling really, really beneficial?

What makes someone number 1 out here? Sheer consistency?

..and if consistency makes the no1 out here..seriously something's wrong..
The best writers are all in hiding.
or writing anonymously.
Some are so depressed by lack of polls..they are contemplating suicide..
At least on the verge.

To tell you the truth, as that precious somebody suggested last week, we need CRITICAL comments desperately on WB.
I mean, we always write 'awesome', 'super' under every post we read..how can the writer really improve?

I went into shock some weeks back when a dear journalist friend,who formerly worked for MIDDAY, read my book and said I made lots of errors every where.
I looked at her in disbelief. First I thought she was simply jealous. I was irritated.
But on examining my writings closely, I felt she was right.
I needed lots of improvement!

Now if only someone on Wb had told me this before!!
Instead some praised me to the skies.

We need an honest appraisal out here.
Or else we go out there thinking too high of ourselves.
And fall flat on the ground!

Polling helps perhaps as means of encouragement..but ranking???
What good does it do?

There are awesome, invisible writers out here who wish desperately to be seen..but can't break in somehow.

Also the real deep posts are never read..Only ROMANCE works out here!!

I know we should make the title interesting..ending nice too..
but the moment they realise it's not about LOVE..they discard the post into their trash!

I don't know if folk will agree with me..I'm sure stones are getting readied..hope it's not stones/eggs but tomatoes would do!!(but they are expensive!!)
