Sat down at computer to write
Not knowing of what to say
Not at all wanting to pick a fight
Just craving a brand new day

All of us write because we do
We compose because we love it
But really sometimes I get blue
It seems I'm just here to sit

I enjoy others great words of prose
and I do my best to say so to each
But I get burnt out and tend to doze
Some feedback on mine is what I seek

I'm just a simple guy with a lot of heart
at least that is what I think
Sometimes I can be a little tart
But hopefully I don't badly stink

I will continue to do what I do
Not at all knowing what to say
Really sometimes I do feel blue
But I'm over it by the end of a good day.
